Introducing L. reuteri: One of the world’s most studied probiotic

BioGaia’s products contain unique and patented strains of the lactic acid bacteria Limosilactobacillus reuteri, formerly known as Lactobacillus reuteri.

L. reuteri is a probiotic species whose natural habitat is the human body. Passed from generation to generation during childbirth and breastfeeding, L. reuteri has co-evolved with humans since the beginning of time.

Every product from BioGaia contains unique L. reuteri strains that provide their own distinct health benefits.

Unfortunately, research shows that modern lifestyles have largely eradicated L. reuteri from the human microbiota in many people living a modern, Western lifestyle.
